David came to my practice for an EFT session for depression. He said that he had been suffering from clinical depression for the last five years.
He told me that he had had moments when everything seemed hopeless and 'dark'. He had felt suicidal a few times in the past and his friend had recommended him getting help with depression.
I asked him how he felt right now and he said that he felt ok, but a little nervous. We used EFT tapping for 'this nervousness' and afterwards he said that he felt much better.
He said he felt 'dark and broody' and lacking in energy. We tapped on 'this lack of energy feeling' and he visably relaxed. I told him so and he said that he felt as if something had just lifted from his shoulders. He smiled and we resumed tapping this time on 'the dark feeling' he said that it was a lot less intensive now.
I ended the session by asking him what he enjoyed doing. He told me he used to enjoy walking in his favourite park in Brighton. I set him a goal for next time of walking in the park, which was five minutes from his house, for ten minutes a day - more if he felt like it. He said he would try. He said that he felt better and would do some tapping when he felt 'dark' at home.
